Frequently asked questions

What happens if I go back to Free?

Nothing is deleted. Your media, layouts, playlists and schedules stay where they are. If several screens are active, you choose the one that keeps playing.

What happens if I add a screen beyond my plan?

Nothing is charged automatically: the cost of the extra screen is shown to you and you must confirm it.

What hardware do I need?

For the Pixlova app, a Linux or Windows computer connected to the screen, such as a mini PC, or an Android TV. For the Web Player, any device that can open a recent browser in full screen. The differences are explained on the Player page.

What is shown on screen if the Internet goes down?

With the Pixlova app, the last valid programme keeps playing, schedules included, as long as its media are already on the device. With the Web Player, it depends on what the browser has kept in its cache.

My player breaks down: do I lose my schedule?

No. The schedule belongs to the screen, not to the hardware. You pair a new player and it receives the same programme, with no extra licence.

Can I control an LED wall?

Yes, when it is connected to an output of a player: it is a screen at your controller’s resolution, however unusual. Synchronizing several outputs and splitting one piece of content across several screens are not offered today.

Can I manage several stores?

Yes. An organization groups your sites and their screens. Each member gets a role, across the whole organization or only on some sites.

Can my colleagues publish without breaking everything?

Roles limit who can edit, publish or work on the hardware. Every publication is a version you can preview, and sensitive actions are recorded in a log.
